The CPR certification exam for lifeguards is a vital part of their training, ensuring they can respond effectively in emergencies.

Exam Structure

  1. Written Exam:
    • Format: Multiple-choice or true/false questions.
    • Topics Covered:
      • Basic CPR principles
      • Adult, child, and infant CPR techniques
      • Use of an AED
      • Recognition of emergency situations
      • First aid fundamentals
  2. Practical Skills Assessment:
    • Demonstration of Skills: Candidates must perform CPR on manikins, demonstrating proper techniques.
    • AED Use: Candidates will show how to correctly use an Automated External Defibrillator.
    • Choking Relief: Techniques for assisting individuals who are choking (adults, children, and infants).
